Health Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a term that developed in medical circles that came to mean a interaction between two people (a client and a hypnotist) in which the hypnotist assists the client in entering an altered state of consciousness. Hypnosis is a situation in which we are able to access the subconscious mind and use it to answer questions posed by the hypnotist.
Hypnosis and Success: Part 2
In the previous post I talked about how many successful people are able to enter a state of hypnosis to achieve a state of creativity. Some are able to enter this state spontaneously and others can learn how to enter it. Hypnosis and meditation seem to be closely related if not the same thing.
Am I Helpless When I’m Hypnotized?
Choosing a Hypnotherpist
I think a lot more people would go to see a hypnotherapist if they had some way to know how to determine if he or she were capable of helping them make the changes they want to make. As hypnosis gains in popularity, there are more therapists available and most of them are competent. To be sure that you are choosing a hypnotist that can serve you well keep several things in mind.
How to do Hypnosis Free
I suppose there are any number of ways that you could get free hypnosis. I have had several people try creative methods.
Hypnosis and Study Skills
Many people have problems with academic endeavors on many different levels. Some people have trouble retaining information they have read. Others have trouble understanding information as they read it. Some have trouble bringing information that they have read and stored into their subconscious back into their conscious mind. Others have bad study habits. Some just lack the confidence that they are capable of achieving thier ultimate learning potential
Why Hypnosis?
I’ve just realized that I have been a Hypnotist for 9 years. I also have been a Psychotherapist for 15 years and have worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor and an Assistant Substance Abuse Counselor for several years before that. The more I work with hypnosis, the more find that it can be used more quickly and more effectively than my other disciplines.
Treating Panic Attacks With Hypnosis
Panic attacks can disrupt your life. You can be in the middle of a routine daily behavior and a panic attack can kick in. First, you have trouble breathing. Your heart starts beating faster. You think you might be having a heart attack. There is a sense of impending doom. You are not sure what is wrong but you begin to think something is very wrong. Then you focus on the feelings and as you think about them they increase. Now, you can’t breath, your chest hurts the sense of impending doom increases. Then the cycle just increases and it is a cycle that just continues to spiral. This describes a severe panic attack.
Hypnosis and Weight Control
Hypnosis is a safe and effective way to loose and weight. It can help you loose the weight you want and to develop a healthy eating plan and increase physical activity. It can also aid with maintaining the weight you have lost. The key is to change behaviors by focusing on change in the subconscious mind. The conscious mind can know that the behavior change is needed and wanted but until the subconscious mind accepts and believes that weight lose is in your best interest, it will not allow it.
Training to Bring a Client to the Hypnotic State
There are lots of ways to train in hypnosis. My initial training was as a licensed mental health professional. I actually could have used my license to practice hypnosis but I decided that becoming a certified hypnotist would be in the best interests of my clients.
