Many people have problems with academic endeavors on many different levels. Some people have trouble retaining information they have read. Others have trouble understanding information as they read it. Some have trouble bringing information that they have read and stored into their subconscious back into their conscious mind. Others have bad study habits. Some just lack the confidence that they are capable of achieving thier ultimate learning potential

Hypnosis can be very effective when assisting students with study skills. I personally have experience with helping people overcome test anxiety and helping them pass their licensing tests for various professions. We know that all information that we are exposed to is stored in our subconscious mind. Hypnosis can be an aid in bringing that information into our consciousness. It can also assist with the ability to better focus and understand the information that is being studied. It canĀ  help with storing the information in the subconscious mind in a manner that makes it more easily accessed by the conscious mind. Hypnosis is an excellent tool to help one acquire the self-confidence to do what is needed to succeed. Hypnosis is also effective in helping people develop the belief that they are capable of learning.

Many people have prolems with test anxiety. Hypnosis is an excellent tool to help overcome this anxiety. Many very intelligent people who have studied and have learned the necessary information suddenly develop an completely blank or partially blank mind when they sit down to take a test. Hypnosis has long been used to help people manage anxiety on all levels.

Hypnosis can also be used to assist with rote memorization.

Probably the most valuable part of this is that one can learn self-hypnosis and achieve all of these skill on their own. People can go to a hypnotist and have him or her work with them, they can buy tapes or MP3′s or they can learn to hypnotize theirselves, which I beleve to be more effective than tapes and MP3′s and more economical than visiting a hypnotist although I believe individual sessions with a hypnotist to be the most effective.

  2. I’m glad ot see this. I’m a clinical psychologist with 30 years of experience coaching people with test anxiety. Indeed, hypnosis– by the right practitioner– can be enormously helpful. I am all for providing people with economical tools to help themselves. Bravo. Although I don’t use hypnosis in my own work, I know its value, and I applaud you in sharing this information. Thanks.
