Hypnosis and Success: Part 2
In the previous post I talked about how many successful people are able to enter a state of hypnosis to achieve a state of creativity. Some are able to enter this state spontaneously and others can learn how to enter it. Hypnosis and meditation seem to be closely related if not the same thing.
Many times we seem to forget things that we believe that we should be able to remember and find that if we bring our attention to something else or sleep, the memory will come back to us at a later time. There are many anecdotes about people waking up in the middle of the night with the answer to a problem that they had been working on for days. I personally have forgotten a name and two or three days later the name will suddenly appear in my consciousness. Our subconscious mind continues to work on the problem. I have learned that if we say “I will remember soon” rather than “I can’t remember” the answer will come back to us sooner.
I’m sure that you can relate to times when you had forgotton something familiar like a famous person’s name and no amount of trying helped your memory, but when you stopped trying that name just popped into your mind, seemingly from nowhere. In effect, if you focus on an end result you want to achieve, and relax, your subconscious mind will come up with the answer. this is an example of how the subconscious is continuously working to solve problems.
Hypnosis creates a state similar to the REM state and therefore you are able to access the creative and problem solving areas of the brain pretty much at will. By intentionally doing this on a regular basis you can access a much deeper state of creativity.
So, in fact, we can all access this deeper creativity by using hypnosis and so become more creative and successful that we had believed possible. It is possible to find self-hypnosis tapes and download on the internet. Some are free and some require a moderate payment. I believe that it would be best to try several and choose the one that seems to work best for you.
