Most people are extremely curious about the whole context of hypnotism.  They want to know what hypnosis feels like.  They want to know what they would esperience while in a hypnotic trance.  The whole arena of hypnosis seems mysterious and has gained a acclt type of reputation.

Well, hyspnosis is just a natural experience that most of us experience several times each day.  When I am talking to people about hypnosis, I ask them if they would briefly like to experience the feeling of hypnosis without being hynotized.  I, then ,tell them to close their eyes and relax and take a deep breath.  Next, I tell them to open their eyes.  That is the feeling most people experience when doing hypnosis.  For most of us, doiing hypnosis is just like doing any thing else that we do on a regular basis.

When you are driving down the road and thinking about something important, you may not remember the last several miles you have driven.  If something occurs while you are driving that needs your attention you can return your attention to operating the vehicle immediately.  While focusing on an idea while driving basically you doing hypnotism with yourself.

The same goes for daydreaming.  You enter a shallow trance every   time you enter a state where you fantasize about your vacation, or what you may do when you are rich or any other type of alternate reality.

So, the reality is that people feel pretty much the same when doing hypnotism than any orther time.  They may feel a little more relaxed than normal and some people choose not to remember the hypnotic process all together but they will not feel any different.  They will also be able to terminate the session at any time.  The client is always in charge of the session.  The hypnotist has no power over the client andis merely a facilitator.  The client is set to experenience a pleasant journey into hypnosis
